We’d love to welcome you to Kionslieu Farm, your home away from home in the Isle of Man. Choose from one of our beautifully equipped country cottages, each featuring large, comfortable beds, full size baths & everything you need for a perfect farm retreat.
You won’t be woken up by tractors coming down the lane at 5 a.m or the milk lorry collecting the milk, and you won’t arrive to muddy pot-holed lanes or have to tiptoe over cow pats. In fact, unless you want to meet the horses or feed the goats, you won’t know that you are on a working farm at all! And that’s what sets us apart from a traditional working farm break.
Immerse yourself in the unique world of Kionslieu, where farm life meets relaxation. Enjoy fun-filled activities, unwind in serene surroundings, or simply let the beauty of nature soothe your soul.
Surrounded by fabulous walks, cycle tracks, and stunning dark skies, our cottages are perfectly positioned in the heart of the Isle of Man, yet a short stroll to the village pub and shop, or hop in the car to explore nearby attractions.
We offer all those little extras, which are particularly important if you are coming by air or travelling with children. Full size toiletries are provided in every cottage, so no need to worry about the inconvenience of liquid restrictions. We also have a travel cot and highchair (please request at time of booking).
You will also have the peace of mind of knowing that the farm cottages are under the personal supervision of resident owners Fiona & Tony Barker who live in the adjacent farmhouse.
Whether it’s a family holiday or a get-away-from-it-all break, you’ll love Kionslieu
Most areas around the farm are accessible to less agile guests, prams and wheelchair users.
Unfortunately Peacock’s Rest, Haybarn and Turkeytree Cottages do not have ground floor bedrooms and so are unsuitable for wheelchair users or less mobile guests.
Redwheel Cottage has been awarded National Accessible Scheme assessment rating of Mobility One (older and less agile guests):
If you have any other requirements please do ask and we will endeavor to help.
You can bring your own bike or hire a bike from Erin Bike Hut, safe in the knowledge that we have a lockable bike shed with charger points for e-bikes, bike washing facilities & laundry for muddy clothes.
Being centrally situated, Kionslieu is an ideal base from which to visit all attractions, including nature reserves, ideal for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers alike.
There are many excellent golf courses on the island including the Links Course at Castletown, voted in the top 1,000 courses in the world.
