About the Isle of Man
Kionslieu Farm Holiday Cottages are set in the heart of the beautiful Isle of Man which is situated in the northern part of the Irish Sea, in the British Isles.
Sea travel is available via four ports. The fast craft 'SeaCat' service takes approx two and three quarter hours from Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast and the traditional ferry service takes approximately three and a half hours from Heysham. If you wish, we can arrange your travel for you through a local travel agent.
On the Isle of Man there is something for everyone. We have a fascinating heritage, from Railways, Castles and the famous Laxey Wheel, to our museums and much more.
We have 17 mountain and coastal glens, preserved in their natural state. They are havens of peace and tranquility, characterised by tumbling waterfalls, deep rock pools and lush vegetation.
The Isle of Man has many unspoilt habitats which support a great diversity of wildlife from grey seals and basking sharks, to the protected Langness grasshopper and many different bird species. For bird watching near to Kionslieu Farm Cottages see the Foxdale page.
Teenagers (and children of 9 +) will enjoy the experience of the Maughold Venture Centre where they can do the assault course, raft building, gorge walking, archery, rifle shooting - parents can also take part or take a day out to relax! The National Sports Centre swimming pool will also keep children happy in all weather.
